54 Years
Singing for God

Since 1972, San Vicente Choir has offered its voice in service of the liturgy — through generations of members, in seasons of joy and loss, never by force or guilt, but by love for God and for one another. Today we serve as the music ministry of the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish, Cebu City, with a heart for every voice that joins us.

"A choir where every member grows — in confidence, in faith, in skill, in friendship — and can one day say: I served God with everything I had, and I am better for it."

Our Journey

A Legacy of Faith & Music

From a small gathering of voices in 1972 to a ministry spanning generations — milestones of a choir built on faith.

1972

Founded

San Vicente Choir was established — born from a shared conviction that music is a form of prayer. A small gathering of voices committed to service.

Early Years

Roots in San Nicolas Parish

The Choir establishes its home at San Nicolas Parish, C. Padilla St. — where generations of members would first find their voice and their family.

Growing

Deepening the Ministry

As the home parish was elevated to the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Nicolas de Tolentino, the Choir’s liturgical presence grew in parallel, expanding its musical influence and service across Cebu City.

Decades

Annual Celebrations

Decades of faithful service through Sinulog, Holy Week, Misa de Gallo, and All Souls' Day — each a new chapter in the Choir's living history.

2022

Return & Renewal

Full return to in-person service. The choir's resilience — and the bonds of its family — renewed and proven in the years that followed.

2026

New Generation

A new generation of officers takes the helm. The Choir's Constitution is formally ratified on June 20, 2026 — a foundation for the next fifty years.
